Tree Chipping This Weekend!
Need your Christmas tree taken care of? Take it down to Comox Fire Rescue (1870 Noel Ave.) this weekend between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm on Saturday or Sunday and we'll chip it for you! There will be hot dogs and hot chocolate and everything is by donation. 100% of proceeds go to Y.A.N.A.!
If you are unable to bring your tree to us, give us a call at 250-339-2432 to arrange a pick up.

Survival Training and Rescue Techniques (START)
Last Wednesday Comox Fire put on a special START course for firefighters from CFB Esquimalt. START is an intensive 1-day course that focuses on hands-on training and skills development for firefighters to save themselves and each other if a situation goes sideways. It is a fun but intense course covering skills such as:
- 2nd storey bail out using webbing
- 2nd storey bail out using a charged hose line
- Head-first window bail out
- Denver Drill
- Wall breaching
- Firefighter through floor rescues
- Carrying firefighters up and down stairs
Friday Training Sessions at CFR
Never a dull moment at Comox Fire Rescue! Friday Training last week consisted of vehicle fires, VEIS (Vent Enter Isolate Search), and second floor searches taking a hose line up a ladder. Good times had by all!
